DataMetrics™ President Daniel Bertram Resigns; Board Appoints John Marceca as New President
ORLANDO, FL, June 4, 2007 – DataMetrics™ Corporation (OTCBB: DMCP), announced today that Daniel Bertram, the CEO and President resigned for personal family reasons effective immediately. The Board appointed John Marceca, V.P., Business Development, as the new CEO/President. Bertram also resigned as a member of the company’s Board of Directors; all changes are effective immediately.
DataMetrics™ and the Board understand, respect, and support this difficult decision made by Bertram to step down as CEO/President. Due to various personally related issues, Bertram felt his top priority at this time was to help support his family in California. Bertram will continue to work with DataMetrics™ and newly appointed CEO/President John Marceca on current and future projects to make this transition as smooth as possible.
In addition to the new role as President, Mr. Marceca will continue to act as the V.P., Business Development and Marketing. Mr. Marceca brings a twenty-eight year record of marketing, operations, quality assurance and engineering successes in the high-reliability industrial computer and VME electronic packaging industries to his position. He has held positions of increasing responsibility from sales through president, and has been instrumental in both corporate startup and turnaround efforts. Most recently, John was president of Dawn VME Products, a privately-owned manufacturer of VME and CompactPCI systems used in the military and industrial markets.
“I am extremely excited about this opportunity to lead this growing company into the future,” said new President John Marceca. “It is difficult to see Mr. Bertram leave under these circumstances, and wish the best for him and his family. We look forward to continuing work with Mr. Bertram and realizing his vision for the company.”
