DataMetrics™ Launches "TerraRover GPS Systems" for Surface Mining Industry
ORLANDO, FL, April 13, 2007 – DataMetrics™ Corporation (OTCBB: DMCP), in collaboration with LogicAll Solutions, LLC., announces the launching of the TerraRover GPS Systems™ for the Surface and Aggregate Mining Industry. DataMetrics™ recently partnered with software provider LogicAll Solutions in order to create an integrated solution to help increase productivity, revenue, and provide greater safety for surface and aggregate mining companies.
The TerraRover GPS Systems™ start with the DataMetrics™ TuffRider™ Touch-Screen Computer. This ruggedized, touch-screen computer, is shock and vibration tested to withstand the harshest conditions, extreme temperatures, and is completely sealed to prevent sand, dust, and moisture from damaging the internal components. Next, the LogicAll Solutions software is added, which is specifically designed to be used by heavy equipment such as dredges, dragline excavators, and blast rigs for aggregate and surface mining operations. These software packages use GPS coordinates to assign production lines to follow and assign exact blasting patterns to assist field engineers. Additional navigation software can be used for any type of vehicle.
Information displayed includes assigned production lines or blast patterns, current position, and distance of the boom tip or drill head from the current dig line, pile, or drill marker. Multiple unique production points or lines can be assigned to each system, eliminating the need to stop production to locate and mark the next point or line to follow. Production Lines or blast patterns can be assigned at a dispatcher’s PC and then loaded to the equipment operators TuffRider™ computer via USB drive.
“Previous versions of our TuffRider™ computer fit perfectly in mining vehicles, but lacked value without industry specific software installed. LogicAll Solutions, inversely, had a great software solution but severely lacked the reliability and ruggedness of the TuffRider™ Computer needed on the mining sites” said John Marceca, VP Business Development. “The partnership of these two companies and the development of the TerraRover GPS Systems™ create an unparalleled product for this industry.”
“With the perfect solution for integrating GPS technology into a monitoring system for mining vehicles, LogicAll Solutions needed a PC which was up to the task. The TuffRider™ computer fit the bill perfectly, being both robust and dust-proof” said David Hoskins, President of LogicAll Solutions. “The rugged hardware platform of the TerraRover GPS Systems™ creates a compact and reliable tool for increasing plant productivity and efficiency.”
